Iran: Pezeshkian prays at Khamenei’s coffin

Milan, 3 July (LaPresse) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian paid his respects to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed on 28 February in an Israeli attack. State television showed Pezeshkian praying at Khamenei’s coffin, on which a black turban had been placed. The heads of Iran’s executive and judicial branches were also present. Earlier, Khomeini’s family, including his grandchildren, had also paid their respects to Khamenei’s body at Tehran’s main mosque.
