Turin, July 3 (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner has qualified for the Wimbledon round of 16, the third Grand Slam of the season held on the grass courts of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The world No. 1 defeated American Jenson Brooksby in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4, in two hours and 13 minutes of play. Brooksby is ranked No. 81 in the ATP rankings. Sinner reaches the Wimbledon round of 16 for the fifth consecutive year and will face Japan’s Shintaro Mochizuki, world No. 151, who caused an upset by defeating Spain’s Rafael Jodar in four sets.
