Rome, 4 July (LaPresse) – “At a historic juncture marked by unprecedented challenges for humanity, it is essential that Washington and Rome, including within the framework of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and through participation in the United Nations and other multilateral forums, continue to work together to promote peace, security and prosperity for their respective peoples and for the whole world.” This was stated by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message sent to the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, to mark the 250th anniversary of independence. “With these sentiments, Mr President, I renew my best wishes to all the citizens of the United States of America on this historic anniversary,” concluded the Head of State.
