Milan, July 5 (LaPresse) — “I had fun; I’ll do it again as soon as I get out.” That’s what Lamin Saidilly, the 22-year-old from Gambia who on Saturday stabbed a 55-year-old man about 20 times for no reason outside a bar in Milan’s San Siro neighborhood, told law enforcement yesterday. The young man, who was arrested on charges of attempted murder and is awaiting his preliminary hearing at San Vittore, uttered these words as he was being restrained—with both handcuffs and Velcro straps—addressing the State Police officers who responded to the scene. The victim remains hospitalized at Niguarda Hospital in Milan; he is in stable condition and under sedation. The doctors treating him have not yet issued a prognosis.
