Genoa, 6 July (LaPresse) – The 37-year-old man who was stabbed yesterday by another man at the height of an altercation in front of hundreds of witnesses on the beach at Prolungamento di Savona has died. His condition appeared critical from the outset: he had been stabbed several times in the abdomen following an altercation between two groups of people; the ambulance crew who arrived to assist him found him unconscious and in cardiac arrest. After being resuscitated, he was rushed to San Paolo Hospital in Savona, where he underwent a delicate operation and where he passed away a few hours ago. His attacker is still at large: he will face murder charges. The Carabinieri are on his trail. Immediately after the incident, the man managed to make his escape and cover his tracks.
