Milan, 6 July (LaPresse) – The Hamas government in Gaza has announced the resignation of the so-called ‘Emergency Committee’ – that is, the Hamas-led administration governing the Strip – ahead of the handover of powers to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, a technical body established by the Board of Peace. This is reported by The Times of Israel. In its statement, the Hamas government declares that it has completed all the administrative procedures necessary for the transfer of authority and affirms that all civil servants will continue to provide services as usual, describing them as “civil servants ready to work under the responsibility of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG)”.
