Rome, 7 July (LaPresse) – In the proceedings initiated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office in connection with the attack on Sigfrido Ranucci, and carried out by the Carabinieri of the Rome Investigative Unit against Valter Lavitola, the following individuals are under investigation alongside Valter Lavitola: Pellegrino D’Avino, Antonio Passariello, Saverio Mutone, Antonio Passariello, Marika De Filippis and Clesio Tavares Gomes are also under investigation. The Public Prosecutor’s Office charges them, in various capacities, with the offences of complicity in the attempted mass murder, illegal possession, carrying and use of explosives, aggravated damage to property and aggravated threats, all with the aggravating circumstance of the ‘mafia method’. According to the prosecution’s case, Lavitola is alleged to have acted as the instigator of the attack, whilst Gomes is alleged to have acted as an intermediary between the alleged instigator and the perpetrators of the attack.
