Genoa, 7 July (LaPresse) – The 21-year-old son of the 59-year-old woman from Milan, who was found dead in a flat on Via Hope in Sanremo a few hours ago, is currently in police custody. The Carabinieri, who are continuing their investigation and treating the case as a murder, questioned the young man at length. He had raised the alarm and initially explained that he had been out for dinner and had returned in the evening to find the door locked from the inside. The fire brigade also attended the scene. An initial examination of the woman’s body revealed signs of violence. The 21-year-old was questioned for 10 hours by investigators, after which he was taken into custody. In the last few hours, the Carabinieri have also carried out a thorough search of the flat and the area outside it, looking for evidence relevant to the investigation.
