Rome, July 9 (LaPresse) – Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has denied U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement that Israel will withdraw from Lebanon. “We did not ask anyone for permission to enter Lebanon and we do not need permission to remain there,” he said in a statement quoted by Israeli media. “It is our right and duty to defend the residents of Galilee and Israeli citizens from the threats of the jihadist terrorist group Hezbollah, which seeks to destroy the State of Israel,” he added.
