Rome, July 9. (LaPresse) – The burial ceremony of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, scheduled for this morning in the city of Mashhad, his birthplace, has been postponed by a few hours. Iranian state television reported that the delay was due to the “larger than expected” crowd that attended the funerals in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala. The ceremony in Mashhad is now scheduled for 2.30pm local time at 1pm in Italy.
