Cagliari, 10 July (LaPresse) – A 35-year-old man died this morning in Santadi, in the Sulcis area, after being shot in the chest. The victim, who was unemployed, was originally from Carbonia and lived in Portoscuso. The alarm was raised in the early hours of the morning in the village of Barrancu Mannu, a rural area on the outskirts of Santadi. Paramedics from the 118 emergency service attended the scene, but there was nothing they could do to save the 35-year-old. The area was cordoned off by the Carabinieri from Cagliari and Carbonia, who arrived to secure the scene and allow the investigative team to carry out their enquiries. The Carabinieri have launched an investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Cagliari, to establish the circumstances and determine who was responsible for the incident.
