Rome, 11 July (LaPresse) – “Switzerland? There are no easy opponents”. So said Argentina’s national team manager, Lionel Scaloni, ahead of the World Cup quarter-final against the Swiss side. The manager hinted that he would field the same starting line-up that defeated Egypt, ruling out the possibility of even a single change for Saturday’s match. He also echoed the comments made by Lamine Yamal, praising the calibre of Spain and France, whom he described as “two excellent teams”. Scaloni described the Swiss side as accustomed to competing against the best national teams. He highlighted their World Cup pedigree, the experience of several players and, above all, their physical strength. He also reminded everyone that they had knocked out Colombia, one of the teams many had expected to see at this stage. “I’ve already fielded the same starting line-up several times; it wouldn’t be unreasonable to do so again. Nor would I make any changes. But it will be similar to the one from a few days ago,” added the Albiceleste manager.
