Rome, 12 July (LaPresse) – “The premises of Fratelli d’Italia’s complaint are completely wrong; there is no investigation into the wind power project that has been influenced by Lavitola, and indeed no investigation in the history of Rai has ever been influenced by Lavitola.” This is what Sigfrido Ranucci, journalist and presenter of *Report*, told *LaPresse* regarding the complaint that Fratelli d’Italia has announced it intends to file with the public prosecutor’s office, in which it would ask for clarification on the relationship between Ranucci and Lavitola and on the latter’s alleged business dealings in renewable energy in Lazio. “Lavitola was a witness and source in two investigations, one into the Canadair aircraft and the other into Berlusconi, in which, incidentally, he also featured prominently. It was others who used Lavitola as a source during Fini’s time at the helm. And he was used by the Berlusconi government,” added the journalist. “It is untrue that the Report editorial team is divided; it is united. Even around me. But it is obvious that it is reeling from the sensationalism surrounding this affair,” he adds, referring to rumours of an alleged rift within the Report editorial team following developments in the investigation into the attack he suffered eight months ago outside his home and his links with Valter Lavitola.
