Hong Kong, 14 July (LaPresse/AP) – Chinese exports picked up pace in June, surging by 27 per cent compared with the previous year, driven by strong demand fuelled by the artificial intelligence boom, the customs agency said on Tuesday. The rise in exports in June far exceeded economists’ expectations. In May, exports had grown by 19.4 per cent year-on-year. Imports in June rose by 36 per cent, an increase higher than the 27.4 per cent recorded in May on a year-on-year basis.
