Man killed by ICE, Department: “Officer feared for public safety”

Biddeford (Maine, USA), 14 July (LaPresse/AP) – The US Department of Homeland Security, of which ICE is a part, stated in a post on X that officers were monitoring an address on behalf of an individual subject to a final order of removal from the country. When ICE attempted to stop a car driven by a person from that address, “the vehicle attempted to flee and, fearing for his own safety and public safety, an officer opened fire”, the department said.
