Rome, 14 July (LaPresse) – Rome has recorded 26 consecutive tropical nights since 17 June, with minimum temperatures never falling below 20 degrees Celsius and virtually no rainfall. This is one of the findings from the update issued by the Central Apennines District Water Authority (Auba) on the hydro-climatic situation in the area of interest, which confirms “the persistence of the heatwave and the worsening drought”. At district level – as explained – “June ended with 48 per cent less rainfall than average and temperatures 3.4 degrees higher”.
