Kyiv (Ukraine), 14 July (LaPresse/AP) – Ukraine has continued its long-range attacks on Russian targets, particularly oil facilities. In the Krasnodar region, in southern Russia, an attack caused a fire at the Afipsky oil refinery, which was subsequently brought under control. According to unconfirmed press reports, an oil refinery in the city of Salavat, in the Bashkortostan region, some 1,400 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, was also reportedly hit in the attack. The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, confirmed an attack on an industrial area in Salavat, but did not specify which target had been hit. The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that overnight its air defences had intercepted 288 Ukrainian drones over various Russian regions, as well as over the illegally annexed Crimean Peninsula and the Seas of Azov and Black.
