Rome, 15 July (LaPresse) – Five convictions have become final in the trial for the murder of Saman Abbas, the 18-year-old of Pakistani origin killed in Novellara, in the Reggio Emilia area, in the spring of 2021. The Court of Cassation has rejected the defendants’ appeals, upholding the life sentences for the young woman’s parents, Shabbar Abbas and Nazia Shaheen, deemed to be the instigators of the crime, and for her cousins Ikram Ijaz and Nomanhulaq Nomanhulaq. The 22-year prison sentence for her uncle, Danish Hasnain, is also final.
