Lebanon, Aoun: “The US has begun listening to us in talks with Israel.”

Turin, July 15. (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump is listening to Lebanon’s position in talks with Israel. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said this, according to his office, quoted by the Times of Israel. “The framework formula is the best possible and has begun to bear fruit, and Washington has begun to listen to us, with the Lebanese dossier now on the US president’s table,” Aoun explained. “Our goals are clear and we will not compromise on issues affecting Lebanon’s rights”, he continued. Aoun’s remarks come as Israeli and Lebanese delegations meet for the second day of talks in Rome.
