Rome, 16 July (LaPresse) – The Chamber of Deputies has approved the electoral law by 217 votes in favour, 152 against and 2 abstentions. The bill now passes to the Senate for consideration. ‘Meloni has failed’, ‘The majority no longer exists: go home!’, ‘A fraudulent law’ and ‘An unconstitutional law’. These are some of the placards displayed by the opposition in the Chamber. A scuffle broke out in the Chamber at the end of the speech by Giovanni Donzelli, an FdI MP, as he explained his vote on the electoral law.
