Milan, 16 July (LaPresse) – The Venice Biennale has announced that ‘INK’, directed by Oscar and BAFTA award-winning director Danny Boyle (28 Years Later, Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire), written by the multi-award-winning playwright and screenwriter Olivier James Graham (Dear England, Sherwood, Brexit), and starring Jack O’Connell, Guy Pearce and Claire Foy, is the opening film – making its world premiere in competition – at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, directed by Alberto Barbera (2–12 September 2026).’ “Ink” will have its world premiere on Wednesday 2 September in the Sala Grande of the Palazzo del Cinema (Lido di Venezia), on the opening night of the 83rd Venice Film Festival.
