Milan, July 16 (LaPresse) – The Caja Rural-Seguros RGA team announced that 31-year-old Colombian rider Fernando Gaviria suffered a fracture to his left collarbone and was forced to withdraw from the Tour de France following a nasty crash in the final stretch of today’s stage. “There was a lot of confusion and a jumble of teams at the front of the peloton,” said teammate Stefano Oldani, describing the crash. “I saw him on the ground next to two Lotto riders and immediately realized he had taken a hard hit,” he added.
