Rome, July 17 (LaPresse) – Max Verstappen set the fastest time in the first free practice session of the Belgian Grand Prix. At the Spa circuit, the Red Bull driver clocked a 1:47.070, finishing ahead of the two Ferraris of Lewis Hamilton (0.145 seconds behind) and Charles Leclerc (0.207 seconds behind). Championship leader Antonelli recorded the sixth-fastest time with Mercedes. McLaren’s Oscar Piastri experienced some issues towards the end of the session. The action will resume with FP2 at 5 p.m.
