Milan, 18 July (LaPresse) – Joan Capdevila, a World Cup winner with Spain in South Africa in 2010 and European champion in 2008, has taken to social media to highlight the difficulties he is facing in travelling to New York to watch the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina on 19 July. The former left-back had planned to travel with his children to enjoy the match and catch up with some of his team-mates from the legendary generation that won the World Cup. However – as reported by As – Capdevila explained that his ESTA authorisation to enter the United States had been refused, a situation which, for the time being, is preventing him from travelling. With no immediate solution in sight, the former Spanish international has chosen to go public with his situation on social media, where he has shared his frustration at being unable to attend what he considers a very special event.
