The defending champion at the ‘Nordea Open’ (ATP 250 – prize money €612,620) lost 6-4, 6-3 in the final to Andrey Rublev, who had won here in 2023 and has become the tenth player in the Open era to claim at least two titles in the tournament’s history. Bolstered by excellent serving statistics, the Russian secured his first victory against a Top 10 player in almost a year, since the Cincinnati tournament last August. He celebrated his 18th career title on the main tour, his first since the Doha tournament in 2025, and his first on clay since the Madrid Masters 1000 in 2024.
