Rome, 20 July (LaPresse) – The Russian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Italian chargé d’affaires in Moscow, Giovanni Scopa, following the expulsion of two military attachés from the Russian Embassy in Rome, which was decided on 9 July. The expulsion is linked to an investigation by the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office into an alleged espionage case involving two former members of the Italian secret services, who are accused of passing information to Russia.
