He has overtaken Lleyton Hewitt and has thus become the tenth player to have spent the most time at the top since the computerised rankings were introduced in 1973. As for Italy, this week there are players in the Top 100 and sixteen in the Top 200 of the ATP rankings. Among the Top 100, Matteo Arnaldi, who was knocked out in the quarter-finals at Umag (No. 33), has moved up one place. The player who has climbed the most places is Sonego, who returns to the world’s top 80 (No. 77, +6) thanks to reaching the last 16 at Gstaad. Also worth noting is the leap forward by Stefano Travaglia (No. 143, +7), who reached the quarter-finals at Bastad. Finally, Andrea Guerrieri has achieved a new career-high ranking (No. 213, +6). The past week saw no changes in the Top 10, and only a few in the Top 20. Andrey Rublev, who beat Luciano Darderi in the final at Bastad, and Monegasque player Valentin Vacherot, thanks to his quarter-final run at Gstaad, both climb two places.
