Rome, 22 July (LaPresse) – Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Premier Tech) won the sprint finish on stage 17 of the Tour de France, the 174.7 km Chambery–Voiron stage, which featured 2,200 metres of climbing, almost all of which was covered in the first 60 km. Second place went to the Swiss rider Mauro Schmid (Team Jayco AlUla), with the Dutchman Olav Kooij (Decathlon) finishing third. For the Belgian, this is his 64th career victory and his eleventh at the Tour.
