Sardinia: 19 dead in Bari Sardo – a minor arrested

Rome, 23 July (LaPresse) – Overnight, officers from the Lanusei Carabinieri Company and the Investigative Unit of the Nuoro Provincial Command arrested a minor on suspicion of having, a few hours earlier in Bari Sardo, inflicted stab wounds that proved fatal to a 19-year-old local man. According to the investigators’ reconstruction of events, the incident stemmed from an altercation – the exact circumstances and cause of which are still under investigation – during which a local girl was also struck by a car apparently driven by the victim. The investigations are being led by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Juvenile Court of Cagliari and by that at the Court of Lanusei.
