Zelensky: ‘Thanks to the EU for the 21st package of sanctions against Russia’

Turin, 23 July (LaPresse) – ‘I would like to thank the European Union and all European leaders for adopting the 21st package of sanctions against Russia. It is vital that the pressure on Russia over the war it started – and which it refuses to end – continues.’ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on X. “This package includes stringent measures to limit Russia’s revenue, including Ukrainian proposals that have been taken into account. It is crucial to preserve our unity and keep the pressure high,” he explains. “We expect work on the 22nd package of sanctions to proceed actively and hope that it will lead to further restrictions that promote peace and further limit Russia’s ability to sustain its war,” he added.
