Milan, 24 July (LaPresse) – An Italian woman has died in a road accident in Kenya. According to diplomatic sources, the woman, Sidney Serpetri, was travelling in a taxi with her husband and son. According to initial reports, the vehicle collided with a lorry on a road linking Nairobi to Malindi. In addition to the woman, the Kenyan taxi driver also died, whilst the woman’s husband and son are being treated at Pandya Hospital, the nearest to the scene of the accident, and are in a stable condition. Sources emphasise that, since the incident was first reported, the Italian Embassy in Nairobi, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been monitoring the situation with the utmost attention and has immediately contacted both the hospital and the woman’s husband to provide assistance.
