Earthquakes: 4.1-magnitude quake in the province of Isernia

Campobasso, 25 July (LaPresse) – An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was recorded overnight in Molise. According to preliminary estimates by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the quake struck at 00.08, with its epicentre in the municipality of Pizzone, in the province of Isernia, at a depth of 10 kilometres. The tremor was clearly felt across much of the province of Isernia and in neighbouring areas, prompting many people to leave their homes as a precaution. According to an initial assessment carried out by the Municipality of Pizzone, there are currently no reports of injury or damage to property.
