Milan, 25 July (LaPresse/AP) – “Just like my presidency, the second time is always better. And the third time will be even better.” So said US President Donald Trump on Friday evening at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, delivering a rambling one-hour speech in which he praised some journalists, took aim at others, made jokes about the weight and intelligence of public figures, and joked about a third presidential term. Trump added: “I’m just joking.” Then, at the end, he pulled on a red cap bearing the words “Trump 2028” and dropped the “bombshell” that he would stand for election again.
