Rome, 25 July (LaPresse) – The institutions of Tuscany are calling for an urgent meeting with the Minister for the Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti, regarding MPS. The Region of Tuscany, the Province of Siena and the Municipality of Siena are therefore presenting a “united and united front on the future of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena”. This position emerged from this morning’s meeting, organised by the President of the Province of Siena, Agnese Carletti, with the Mayor of Siena, Nicoletta Fabio, and the President of the Region of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani. At the heart of a letter to be sent to the Ministry of the Economy is “deep concern” regarding “recent developments” in the new Italian and European banking crisis involving MPS.
