Berlin (Germany), 26 July (LaPresse) – Terror at Berlin’s Gay Pride, where last night at around 10 pm an SUV ploughed into the crowd in Tiergarten Park, killing one woman and injuring 16 people, three of whom are in a critical condition. A suspect has been identified: according to the DPA news agency, he is a 21-year-old with relatives in the German capital, who was released from a youth detention centre in May 2026. A police spokesperson reported possible links to Islamist circles. The Mayor of Berlin described the incident as “an attack on our society open to the world”, whilst Chancellor Friedrich Merz called it an “abominable act”, assuring that the investigation would be conducted with the utmost determination.
