Fakir’s death: security detail assigned to Lepore following social media threats

Milan, 26 July (LaPresse) – A security detail is to be assigned to the mayor of Bologna, Matteo Lepore. According to several newspapers, including *Corriere della Sera* and *la Repubblica*, the decision was taken by the prefecture following the death threats received by Lepore, who yesterday filed a complaint with the police against the online trolls. The messages appeared on the mayor’s social media profiles following the death of Abderrahim Fakir during a police operation in Pilastro, and the demonstration in Piazza Nettuno organised by the mayor. The security measures will be put in place in the coming days.
