Milan, 26 July (LaPresse) – Berlin police have confirmed that the man suspected of Saturday evening’s attack at the Pride event in the German capital died during a police operation. “At around 6 pm, the suspect in the attack in the Großer Tiergarten was located in a community garden complex in Spandau,” reported the Berlin police, adding that “according to the information available so far, the man reportedly ran towards our response team with a bladed weapon, prompting our Berlin SEK unit to use firearms”. “Despite resuscitation efforts immediately undertaken by the Berlin Fire Brigade, he died at the scene of the operation,” the police added.
