Madrid (Spain), 27 July (LaPresse) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has announced the allocation of 10 million euros to fund the creation of new climate shelters, including educational centres, to help the population cope better with high temperatures. “Today we are promoting the national network of climate shelters and approving new funding of 10 million euros to finance new shelters, including educational centres. In addition to this, a further 9 million euros will be allocated to advance urban renaturalisation and strengthen our cities’ preparedness for the ecological transition,” said the Socialist leader at the launch of the Climate Shelter Network in Madrid. The network comprises over 180 available spaces, including the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
