Rome, 27 July (LaPresse) – On the Roggero case, “there is a race to the right between Vannacci, Meloni, Salvini and Tajani”. So said PD secretary Elly Schlein on the programme *L’Aria che tira*, broadcast on La 7. “Under our legal system, life has a higher value than material goods. It is a matter of striking a balance: if an attacker is pointing a gun at you and threatening your life, then the judges must assess whether it constitutes self-defence. But in this case, even from the videos, it is clear that the attackers were fleeing; this is not self-defence. There is a push from the right to put pressure on the Quirinale” for a pardon, “unacceptable pressure, but we have full confidence in the Head of State,” adds Schlein.
