Wildfires in Spain: Sánchez says, “Climate denial is the worst fuel”

Rome, 28 July (LaPresse) – “Climate denialism is the worst possible fuel in the face of this emergency.” These were the words of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, speaking from the Moncloa Palace during his customary summer address in which he reviews the government’s activities over the past year. “Today, with greater conviction and stronger arguments than ever before, I am calling out loud and clear for the national agreement that Spain needs most. The State Pact against the climate emergency is imperative,” added the Socialist leader, reiterating his call for a broad consensus among the country’s political forces to tackle the emergency.
