The founder and former M5S guarantor writes that “the Five Star Movement has lost its identity, above all it has lost its ‘diversity’. Observing the anthropological transformation of its protagonists is of little use; it is the usual film, the new becoming old, the revolutionaries discovering the halls of power and the intentions that pave the road to hell, with a toll to pay. Yet, something must be remembered: the Movement was born from a popular sentiment that continues to exist, even though those who should have represented it have stopped listening to it… It was the disappointment toward a Western model founded on democracy and rights, but increasingly dominated by capitalism.”
