Milan, 31 July (LaPresse) – High alert in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in Morocco, after the uncontrolled crossing of the border by thousands of migrants from this North African country – including by swimming – has left at least 18 people dead. This is according to *El País*, which reports that the Civil Guard and the emergency services, overwhelmed by the situation, are focusing exclusively on rescuing the injured. The government has also mobilised army units stationed in Ceuta to provide reinforcements to the Civil Guard. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is expected to visit the autonomous city today.
