Turin, July 31 (LaPresse) — “These negotiations have been difficult and demanding, and we have tried to reach the best possible formula.” Ghazi Hamad, a member of Hamas’s negotiating delegation, told Al Jazeera after the agreement reached with Israel, which provides for the disarmament of the militant group and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza. However, Hamad stated that Hamas will not implement the agreement if Israeli forces do not fulfill their obligations. The official added that disarmament depends on Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza and on progress in the reconstruction of the Palestinian territory.
