Messina: death toll from the building collapse rises to three; body recovered from the rubble

Palermo, 1 August (LaPresse) – The confirmed death toll from Thursday’s building collapse in the ‘Pistunina’ area of Messina has risen to three. The body of one of at least four people still trapped in the rubble has been recovered. This was announced by the Public Prosecutor of Messina, Antonio D’Amato, in a statement in which he reported that search operations carried out by the fire brigade and the provincial command of the Carabinieri are ‘continuing relentlessly’.
