The news was reported by Sappe, the Autonomous Prison Police Union. According to the union, the death was caused by cardiac arrest, likely following the inhalation of gas contained in camping canisters. However, medical and forensic examinations will determine the exact cause of death. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Teramo Hospital. Judicial authorities are carrying out investigations into the case.
