(LaPresse) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is reportedly considering the possibility of launching pre-emptive strikes should diplomatic efforts with the United States fail, according to a diplomat in Tehran speaking to the Wall Street Journal, without specifying whether this would include raids against both US targets in the region and Israel. And in a statement issued to mark the second anniversary of the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said they would avenge his death and that of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. “The response to these serious crimes will be severe and decisive,” the statement reads.
