Rome, 2 Aug. (LaPresse) – Chiara Pellacani has won the gold medal in the 1-metre springboard at the European Diving Championships in Paris. Earlier in the afternoon, the Italian had already won gold in the 3-metre springboard, partnering Matteo Santoro. She finished with a score of 298.90, opening up a 40-point lead over her rivals. Second place went to Switzerland’s Michelle Luisa Heimberg (258.80), with Britain’s Desharne Bent-Ashmeil (254.35) in third. Another Italian, Elisa Pizzini (245.30), finished fifth.
