Madrid (Spain), Aug. 3 (LaPresse) – Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles has urged Morocco to “thoroughly investigate” what happened in Ceuta. She is the first member of Pedro Sánchez’s government to call on Rabat to account for the mass arrival of migrants in the Spanish enclave. After visiting the Fourth Rapid Intervention Battalion at the Zaragoza Air Base, Robles also pointed to “mafias” as possible parties responsible for the situation. “Whoever is behind this, the mafias or anyone who allowed it to happen, will have to take responsibility,” she told the media, as reported by Rtve. The minister also defended Spain’s intelligence services after several political parties accused the government of having ignored their warnings.
