Milan, Aug. 3 (LaPresse) – Carmelo Cinturrino, in prison since Feb. 23 for the murder of 28-year-old Abderrahim Mansouri on Jan. 26 in Rogoredo, a district in the south-eastern outskirts of Milan, will be questioned on Aug. 6. Cinturrino will be questioned by prosecutor Giovanni Tarzia. On that occasion, the aggravating circumstance of premeditation, initially not upheld, will be contested against the former deputy chief assistant of the Mecenate police station. The request for an immediate trial is therefore postponed, having been suspended and delayed due to the contestation of the aggravating circumstance. The request can be submitted to the investigating judge until Aug. 23. Meanwhile, the investigation remains open, in which Cinturrino and other colleagues are under investigation for other offences, ranging from drug dealing to beatings, extortion and kidnapping. Cinturrino was dismissed from the police force on May 20 following disciplinary proceedings.
