Rome, Aug. 3 (LaPresse) – “Due to the work of the parliamentary chambers on Tuesday, Aug. 4, and Wednesday, Aug. 5, with votes scheduled throughout the day in both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, I had to cancel Giuseppe Conte’s hearing. Last week my offices had already contacted Conte’s staff, warning that it would be difficult to hold the hearing on Aug. 4 and 5. Therefore, they had requested other possible dates and I myself, during the last session, had pointed out that it would have been useful for the M5S leader to propose alternative dates. Last Friday, my offices contacted Conte’s staff again, but did not receive availability for other days. I therefore decided to try to schedule it for Aug. 4 anyway, but as expected there is no practical room for a hearing that will require several hours. My offices will contact Conte again to identify other suitable dates.” This was stated in a note by Senator Marco Lisei of Fratelli d’Italia, president of the Covid Commission.
